Paragliding in Bandai

This Gaijin will always remember visiting Japan. Definitely a major highlight of my existance. While there I had the good fortune to be invited to try my hand at paragliding (I'd never done it before).

The place was Bandai -san -- A mountain near Azuwakamatsu. I was visiting the University of Aizu to collaborate on work related to the Immersive Education Initiative.

Bandai -san is a beautiful volcanic peak located in Bandai-town, and Kitashiobara village, in Yama-Gun, Fukushima prefecture.

Visiting the onsen there and biking around the region were definitely highlights of my visit. My thanks to Michael Cohen and Jun Yamadera for providing me the opportunity to jump off the mountain!
